Responsibilities

As a safety coordinator within the Welfare Administration, your main task is to be a cohesive and driving force to secure the administration's work with civil preparedness and safety. You will be a close support to management and operations where the role combines strategic development work with operational responsibility for safety, preparedness, and crisis management.

You will be the administration's contact person in safety matters and serve as support to management and operations in both planning and executing preparedness efforts.

Your responsibilities as a safety coordinator include:

• Being a consultative support to the management and contributing to the cohesion and development of safety work
• Supporting operations in establishing and updating continuity plans, safety routines, and action plans
• Coordinating and following up on risk and vulnerability analyses (RVA)
• Planning, executing, and following up on exercises and driving knowledge-enhancing initiatives within crisis preparedness and safety
• Continuous monitoring of the external environment, investigative work, and representing the operations in forums within your focus area, both in the municipal organization and in external collaboration.

Qualifications

We expect that you have a university degree in the field of safety or other education and experience that the employer deems sufficient.

Since the position is a central support function that requires dialogue and collaboration with various operations, good collaboration skills and a trustworthy communication style are required. You are analytical, structured, and action-oriented with the ability to prioritize. You can work both strategically and operationally to develop solutions from a holistic perspective.

You have experience and knowledge of the Swedish preparedness system, continuity and preparedness planning, knowledge of applicable laws and regulations in the field, and experience leading the development of risk and vulnerability analyses.

You are service-oriented, have good pedagogical skills to communicate in both speech and writing. You are accustomed to working both independently and in a team. You are attentive, flexible, and work to achieve set goals. Your documentation skills are good, as well as your ability to handle various operational systems. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and leadership experience.

Knowledge in the operational area and experience in project management and organizational development are also considered advantageous.

A valid driver's license, category B, is a requirement.
